February Is Heart Month AND Snack Month
Our February Food Calendar of Food Days, Weeks & Months looks at many ways to maintain heart health. A few of the key components are to watch calories and fat; have nutritious low sodium foods, include fiber; and have a little dark chocolate on Valentine's Day.
February is both Heart Month and Snack Month. Eating snacks can make a healthy contribution to your overall daily diet. It is a great way to add a fruit or vegetable or even a little protein that you may have missed in your main meals.
