Indoor Air Quality

After completing this course, the Early Childcare Professional will be able to: identify many different types of pollutants that are making not only the air we breathe outside dangerous, but also the air inside our homes and childcare facilities. Combustion pollutants, biologicals, secondhand smoke, formaldehyde, household products, organic gases, lead, radon, and asbestos. You will be able to reduce the risk for potential poisoning, lists several pollutants and how they can harm people, and becom familiar with the symptoms and solutions to each one. Tips on how to control the air quality are also mentioned in this section and recommendations from The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers. Learn what triggers asthma and what you can do to lessen the causes and manage the problems that occur. The terms used in this section are also defined and explained to help you understand more information, more quickly.
