Nutrition for Infants and Children

In this course you will learn facts and figures about the children of today and what is increasing and becoming more present in our world. This course also covers infant nutrition. Topics such as breastfeeding and bottle feeding give you information and tips to a healthy baby, and also what you should and should not do. Also, this course contains a list of signs that you can recognize to know when your baby is ready for solid foods. These signs are very helpful. The child will also give you signs if he/she is not ready. Information on the first foods and what the baby's needs are is found on this course. Topics are listed in stages, from age to age. Protecting a baby's health is very important, and you are reminded of things to watch out for while caring for the baby. Proteins and iron are things that every child needs while growing. Allow children some freedom when they try new foods. Exploring can be exciting for both the adult and child. General recommended guidelines can teach you things you never knew before. Overall, the parent and childcare providers are the ones responsible for the baby and how it develops and learns.
