Nutrition for Older Children
This course covers children from the ages
6-12. Children in this age range need more and more food due to growth
spurts. Follow the Food Guide Pyramid, and you can do no wrong. Variety
is the spice of life as they say, and it goes for children too. Variety
insures that you have all the correct nutrients that are needed. Set
limitations on the foods that have fat and high numbers of sugar in
them. One of the most important meals of the day is breakfast. Exercise
is key to build bones and muscles. Serving amounts for foods that increase
